About Chef Damon Gordon

Born and raised in Ipswich, England, Damon Gordon graduated from Suffolk College, Ipswich, with a degree in Culinary Arts.

With more than 25 years in the restaurant industry, Gordon honed his culinary skills in some of London’s finest eating establishments. Moving to the U.S. in 2000, he has since helmed Executive Chef position at Blue Door, Miami, both Mix and Ono at Gansevoort Hotel in New York, and Quarter Kitchen at Ivy Hotel in San Diego and Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C.. While at Quarter Kitchen, the restaurant earned an ‘Award of Excellence’ from Wine Spectator and several more honors in San Diego Magazine’s ‘Best Restaurants 2008.’ Gordonhas also drawn the spotlight as a contestant on the cable TV program Chopped.

Now Culinary Director of King Signature Group, Gordon oversees all King Signature Group properties, including Water Grill Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Diego, Orange County, 555East in Long Beach, Lou & Mickey’s in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, Pier Burger on the Santa Monica Pier, and Fish Camp in Huntington Beach.

In his free time Gordon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai boxing, paddle boarding and riding motorcycles.
